What to do next

Use the guide to distinguish the COVID-19, Flu A and Flu B result lines. Follow current NHS advice and seek healthcare support where appropriate. If negative but symptoms continue, ask about further assessment. No control line means invalid: repeat with a new kit. Seek advice if the lines are unclear.

A negative result does not completely rule out infection. Symptoms can have other causes and sample collection affects results. Follow current health guidance and ask for medical advice when concerned; do not delay urgent care while waiting for a kit.

In an emergency, call 999.
